Axelrodz Bolt-on Hub Skewers (pair)

REVIEWS Average rating (from 1):
I use these skewers on my touring bike with 136 mm rear dropout spacing and they work well. I got them to replace the original quick releases which could not prevent my rear wheel from slipping forward in my steel frame. They look good, too. The biggest downside is that the "nut" opposite the hex head is difficult to grab with your fingers; it seems to be designed to be gripped with an open-end wrench making reinstallation, especially of the rear wheel, a bit of a pain. (Another brand has knurled knobs to grip making reinstallation a true one-tool job, but they're too short for my bike.) Also, the skewer threads lack definition, as though they've been partially sandblasted away but, so far, after a year, they've worked fine. I would recommend this product.
